Terms & conditions
These terms set out the basis on which MyEVReport provides EV battery health reports. They are a general template and should be reviewed and refined with legal advice before launch.
1. About these terms
By requesting or accepting an EV battery health report from MyEVReport, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with a booking.
2. Our service
MyEVReport provides independent EV battery health reports based on data obtained from the vehicle at the time of testing. We do not buy or sell vehicles and we do not provide finance or warranties.
Our report is designed to help you make an informed decision, but it is not a guarantee of future performance or reliability of the vehicle or its battery.
3. Bookings and payment
- Bookings are made via our online form or by contacting us directly.
- We will confirm coverage, compatibility and availability before accepting a booking.
- Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due in advance of the appointment.
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking for any reasonable reason.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We will outline any applicable cancellation terms in your booking confirmation.
5. What we do and don’t inspect
We focus on the EV’s traction battery and related data. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not perform a full mechanical inspection or assess the condition of other components such as brakes, tyres, suspension, bodywork or interior.
Our technician may note obvious issues where seen, but this does not constitute a full inspection.
6. Limitations of the report
- The report reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time and place of testing only.
- Range estimates are based on assumptions and typical usage and are not guarantees.
- Certain faults or issues may not be visible to our tests, particularly if they are intermittent or only appear under specific conditions.
- The report should not be treated as a substitute for a full vehicle inspection or the manufacturer’s own diagnostics or warranty processes.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the vehicle and its location.
- Ensure safe and lawful access to the vehicle at the agreed time.
- Obtain any necessary permission from the vehicle owner, if different from you.
8. Liability
We will provide our service with reasonable care and skill. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:
- Any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
- Loss of profit, loss of resale value or loss of opportunity.
- Any issue arising from changes to the vehicle after the test has been carried out.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Use of the report
You may share the report with prospective buyers, sellers, dealers, finance providers or other parties involved in the transaction. You must not alter the contents of the report or present a modified version as if it were issued by us.
10. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by local consumer law.
These terms & conditions are a general template and do not constitute legal advice. Please seek professional advice to ensure they are appropriate for your specific business and location.
